We are pleased to announce the release of the website for HANARIA, Japan’s first passenger ship utilizing hydrogen and biodiesel fuel.

HANARIA, which was ordered by MOTENA-Sea, Ltd. and is under construction at HONGAWARA Ship Yard Co., Ltd.

HANARIA will reduce carbon dioxide（CO2）emissions by 53%-100% compared to conventional fossil fuels vessels, by introducing a system that would be the first case in the world, that allows the selection of any operating models: hydrogen fuel cells, lithium-ion batteries, and biodiesel fuel.

HANARIA is scheduled to be delivered in March 2024 and start servicing in Fukuoka Prefecture in April 2024.
Online reservations will begin in February 2024, prior to the start of operations.
